Mumbo Sauce
Our version of a DC Classic! Mumbo has a deep history in Washington D.C. going back as far as the 1950s. Mumbo/Mambo sauce recipes vary from every carry-out joint as much as the spelling does. This is our take, our love letter to my favorite condiment other than hot sauce. This is a tomato-based sauce bolstered with a sweet tang of pineapple and a serious bite from a helping of Habaneros.
Ingredients: Pineapple Juice, White Vinegar, Tomato Paste, Habanero Peppers, Sugar, Soy Sauce, & Ginger
Heat Level: Medium
A note about our heat levels: Everyone perceives spice differently, our heat scale is based on the type and amount of peppers in a given sauce. Please use our heat levels as a general guide, not as an absolute.
